Nobody hears the cry of the abused athlete nobody understands that along with fame, fans and money come’s struggle heart ache, humiliation and in severe cases death. Drug abuse what I see as the number one killer of an athlete career. Drugs can seep in anywhere but out probability of an athlete getting off an hard core drug such as cocaine, crack or even marijuana is very low this can affect an players attitude towards the game and even his/her performance. Drugs make you feel one way but you ruin you in many others. There has been athlete that does steroids and find no way out besides death. I feel that to be athlete you have to be a role model and doing drugs is just a way to hide from that responsibility and that is wrong an inexcusable. To be an athlete is to be glorified and to be glorified is to be held to an standard that show people that anyone can make it to the top. In some cases people are victims and have no way to release themselves to the outer good that hides behind all the abuse and neglect that you encounter while doing drugs.
